Honestly, the only thing that I'm looking forward to on that list is artificial intelligence. I don't think that having such a thing is going to be as bad as the doomsayers in stories, movies and otherwise have predicted.
Regarding implants, I definitely don't want anything put into me. Forget all that. I will never sign up for that kind of thing.
Lastly, the biometrics and things. The only thing that worries me about the biometrics and those kinds of things though is the super secret database somewhere out there which is probably storing all of that information lol. Still, I have nothing to hide.

People will always find ways to manipulate technology for their own nefarious agendas. As always, it's not the tech that's the problem, it's the people behind it. Subdermal implants and AI have great potential if used correctly. Of course there will always be the potential for disaster. In the end it will be a matter of whether you think the risks outweigh the benefits. Science fiction loves to display all the bad things that can happen. Heck, I'm writing about a world dealing with that very thing. The internet, nanotechnology, guns, automobiles, taxes, dilldos ... all of it is a double-edged sword.

I read the Left Behind series too, Terrence; good series, especially the audio dramas. Thirteenth book was ... well, honestly, it really didn't do it for me and in my opinion wasn't really necessary.
For real, as much as I hate to admit it, I really can see there coming a day when such mandatory implamentation might be required. Even if not necessarily making our lives forfit to refuse. There may come a time of practicality when not having certain tech might be a real detriment to one's life. Every year it seems we are growing more and more reliant on technology. It might not happen soon, but I don't think the idea is all that far-fetched. Personally as a CHristian I am fascinated by the idea that the scriptures foretell of such times. THough most of that is in the book of Revelation which is, unfortunately highly subject to one's own interpretation. Not to mention highly symbolic. Our own Doctrine and Covenants has a chapter dedicated to a Q&A about the book of Revelation, and even after that the book is still highly open to speculation.

I've actually not eembraced technology as much as I could, and this is for a reason.
We forget how to do the simple things, or never learn them.
Braille for the blind is a wonderful example of this.
I know blind people who can not read it, and this is a shame.
A simple task like riding up on an elevator in a strange building is just a touch away, provided you read braille.
Other things, but tech has made some even rebelle against learning braille, and these are people in positions like teaching and such.
So, I really hope not.
Any teacher of the blind who thinks blind kids shouldn't learn Braille needs to be fired immediately.
Agree so, so much. I can even read large print, and braille was a huge part of my life. I hate the big braille volumes these days, but I'm so grateful I know how to read it. I'd actually love to find techniques to read faster on a braille display so I could improve my reading out loud capabilities. Every blind person should know it, if for no other reason than to learn how to write, punctuate and spell things properly.
Sure, and as I say, there are other problems with totally relying on your tech.

There are people I know that can't even use their cane, read braille, or just be without their tech. it's sad really how now our world is relying more and more on technology. Something President recobuno said that really stuck to me was that technology doesn't really define you. and he's right.
Yep, I can see the RFID implants in people's bodies too because I can see how it would actually be helpful, and I can see the cons of it. In addition to all of that, I honestly don't even care at this point. Nothing we do is private anymore. In regards to braille, braille displays are the way. Books are incredibly to heavy and takes up too much space.

RFID, Technology and THE MARK
Mention the mark of the beast today and instantly the majority of people will think of some sort of RFID Chiptechnological device like the RFID chip, or a 'techno' tattoo. And we are not only talking about professed Christians. Even non-believers instantly think of some device or physical mark that is placed upon us. So the whole world believes that one day soon we are going to have a physical mark enforced upon us which will be the prophesied mark of the beast foretold in the book of Revelation, chapter 13.
So what about us. Do we go along with this 'mainstream' view of the beast's mark? I'm afraid not, and for VERY good reason. Which is why we have compiled a short list of reasons as to why the mark of the beast CANNOT be the RFID chip or any technology device or physical mark. This is a very important issue we are dealing with here, as some of God's most dire warnings are associated with the mark of the beast.
Please carefully consider the following 7 reasons as to why the mark of the beast cannot be the RFID chip or any physical mark.
1 - We have the Technology to NOT NEED any 'Chip'
Take a look at the below recent news item from England. It shows a superstore introducing a new payment system whereby people can simply scan their finger to pay for their goods. How? Because the technology is available to be able to simply scan your finger, or even your eye and match that with your bank payment system.

And this technology is being pushed now in many places and we will see this being introduced more and more. Which means there is no need for any RFID chip to be planted inside us! Yes, some people are doing it, but you will not see this RFID thing go worldwide, when there is a more simple option of scanning your finger or eye.
2 - The Word "Mark" Doesn't HAVE to Mean a Physical Mark
So many people look at that word "mark" in Revelation 13 and say ..."Well, the original greek for the word mark means an actual physical mark." ... And they would be right. The problem is, they forget that they are reading it in the book of Revelation. You know, that book which is FULL of symbolic language. For example. The beasts of Revelation 13 and the whore riding a beast in Revelation 17. If you take a look at these in the original language, they too will be described as ACTUAL beasts and a whore. So if you apply the rule that the mark of the beast HAS to be a physical mark because of the word, then you have to apply that rule to the rest of Revelation.
Mark of the BeastNow if you were to ask those people who support the theory of the mark being this RFID chip, or any other physical mark, if they believed we will be seeing ACTUAL beasts and a whore riding a beast forcing the world to worship them. I am sure that they would respond by saying ... "Don't be silly, that is SYMBOLIC language." ... And the same applies with the mark.
Friend, the mark of the beast does not HAVE to be a physical mark. And with the rest of the following reasons, we will show you why it CANNOT be this RFID chip or any other physical device.
3 - Where's the Deception?
Let me give you a few verses which tells us what Satan is going to do in the end times:
2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 ...'Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.'
Revelation 12:9 ...'And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.'
Revelation 13:14 ...'And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.'
Revelation 18:23 ...'for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.'
Revelation 19:20 ...'And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.'
Now have a REALLY good think about this for a moment. Not only does the vast majority of the professed Christian world believe that the mark of the beast will be a physical mark, like the RFID chip, or an ID card, or tattoo. Even the un-believing world has some 'knowledge' about the mark of the beast, which they relate to a physical mark like the RFID chip. So I ask you, and please think carefully about this .... where is the DECEPTION?. Did you read the above verses from the Word of God concerning Satan's tactics? He is ALL about deception, and the final battle in these last days will contain Satan's greatest deceptions of all.
The RFID Chip is not a deception. But I tell you what is ... the WHOLE world is waiting for the RFID chip or some physical mark to be enforced. THAT is the deception!
4 - The Mark is all to do With Worship
The many people who focus on the RFID chip or some other technology device being the mark of the beast tend to forget about the spiritual aspect of being a Christian. Does the Bible say we are warring against physical enemies? No, the Bible is very clear on what we are up against:
Ephesians 6:12 ...'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.'
You see, our battle is not against the physical things of this world. Our battle is a SPIRITUAL one. Satan is not so much looking to gain control of our wallets. He us ultimately looking to gain control of our MINDS. He wants to drive a wedge between us and Christ Jesus. And how does he do that? By stopping us from giving TRUE worship to our Creator God. Look at what the final warning to the world is in Revelation 13 and 14:
Revelation 13: vs 4 ... And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? ... vs 8 ...And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world ... vs 11-12 ...And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth ... and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast ... vs 15 ...and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.'
Revelation 14: ...'vs 6-7 ...And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven ... Saying with a loud voice ... worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters ... vs 9-10 ...If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand ... The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God
I think the mark is all to do with worship don't you? This is the final warning to the world, and it is a warning about worshipping the beast system and a call to TRUE WORSHIP. The three angels of Revelation 14 don't just say ... "DON'T TAKE THE MARK" ... They are telling us to remember our Creator and worship Him ONLY who created the heavens and the earth. They are pointing us back to creation and telling us to give our allegiance to the ONE true Creator God, Jehovah!
Now I ask you. How does getting a physical mark STOP us from giving TRUE worship to our Creator? It doesn't! Which is why the mark of the beast CANNOT be a physical mark.
Now some people claim that these RFID chips could be able to alter your mind and thoughts and in some way take control. But God would never allow this to happen on a mass scale, because He wouldn't allow our free choice to be taken away from us. If we are not able to make a free conscious decision with regards to our worship and allegiance, then the judgment of the mark would not be a fair one. The mark of the beast is all about a free conscious decision by each and every person as to who we give our allegiance and worship to.
5 - RFID Chip Can be Forced Upon Us
Let's look at the follow scenarios:
Someone is taken into hospital for an operation and during the operation the doctors insert an RFID chip into the person. Now according to the many people who believe the RFID chip to be the mark of the beast, this person who went to hospital, NOW HAS THE MARK OF THE BEAST, and is going to be lost!
Police ForceAnother scenario: The military take control of a town and force their way into each and every home, injecting (somehow) an RFID chip into every person. There is nothing that the people can do. Some make a run for it, but are captured and forced to have this RFID chip. The same goes for any other physical mark. They can be forced upon us if the governments decided, and there is little we could do about it, because as TRUE Christians, we should not fight back.
So is God going to reject people for having a physical mark forced upon them? No, not a chance! Because we serve a loving God who is fair and just in all His ways. And not only that, any one of us could have a physical mark forced upon us, but then we could continue to worship God in spirit and truth, which is what God is most interested in (John 4:24). Why would God be concerned about us having a physical mark like an RFID chip or ID card forced upon us? As long as we continue to serve God and keep His commandments and worship Him in spirit and truth, then God is happy with us, no matter what kind of "marking" the governments decide to place upon us.
Remember what the apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 8:4? That food offered to idols is nothing to worry about for a strong Christian, because the idol is nothing and we know there is only One God and it is Him we still worship. The same applies to a physical mark. It is NOTHING, and God is only concerned with our true WORSHIP of Him in spirit and truth.
6 - The Mark, OR the Name OR the Number of the Beast
Revelation 13:17 confirms the following: "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, OR the name of the beast, OR the number of his name."
This verse shows us that this issue is FAR deeper than a mere physical mark like an RFID chip or ID card. Many people place all their focus upon this RFID chip or some other technology device. And yet Revelation 13 reveals there is more to this than just the "mark". We are shown here that ANY affiliation with the beast, ANY kind of support or agreement we make with the beast, apart from the "mark" will see us condemned!
Do you see this? There will be many people who don't take the actual mark of the beast and yet they will still be lost. Because they will in some way still be on the wrong side. In the last days, there will be only two groups of people. Those who are for Christ Jesus and those who are for the beast and Satan. Now if you are not on the side of Christ, then you are automatically placed on the side of the beast and Satan, and you will be lost. Even if you don't take the mark of the beast.
For instance, what would you have if you had the 'name of the beast'? Well, let's use the Bible to interpret. In Exodus 34:5-7 we see that God descended down to Moses on the mount and 'proclaimed the NAME of the Lord'. And what did the Lord proclaim?:
Exodus 34:5-7 ...'And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty.'
Do you see what 'NAME' God proclaimed to Moses? He proclaimed His CHARACTER! So it will be with the beast. Those in the last days who have the 'name of the beast' will have the CHARACTER of the beast.
7 - Those Who Don't Take the Mark are Keeping God's Commandments
This is a vital point to understand, and one that the majority of people completely miss. Revelation 14 contains the three angels messages (which you can read about here). And those three angels tell us that we need to worship the true God. That Babylon is fallen. And that we should not take the mark of the beast. Now here is the vital point. Right after the third angel warns against receiving the mark, he says ... "Here is the patience of the saints, here are they which keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."
Wow! So who are the one's who do NOT take the beast's mark? The one's who are keeping the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ. So how do you fit a physical mark like the RFID chip into this? You cannot! To not take the mark means to keep God's commandments and follow in the footstep of Christ. Which means the mark of the beast is to do with the BREAKING of commandments of God or not following in Christ's footsteps.
Friend, the mark of the beast cannot be any kind of technology device. The beast's mark is a SPIRITUAL mark, as this is a SPIRITUAL issue, and our war against Satan is a SPIRITUAL war. Don't get me wrong. Technology WILL be used to help enforce the mark of the beast. But in of itself, the RFID, or ID Card or Tattoo, or whatever else CANNOT be the mark. The mark HAS to be a spiritual one. Which is why we receive it in the hand OR the forehead. And do you know where we make our decisions? In the front of our forehead. So those who decide to go along with the beast's mark will receive it (spiritually) in their forehead. And those who don't accept it, but continue to break God's commandments and reject Christ Jesus, will receive the mark (spiritually) in their hand, which represents their ACTIONS against God.
We will have to make a decision one day soon, whether to be on God's side and receive His seal, or to be on Satan's side and receive the mark of the beast. And that decision will decide your eternal destiny!
It's time to find out the truth about the mark.

It is my fervent prayer that you will carefully study this issue concerning the mark of the beast, because we are dealing with the arch deceiver in Satan. Revelation 13:14 says that Satan will deceive the world into worshipping him. Do you think this is just a simple case of a microchip being enforced upon us? No, a microchip isn't a 'deception'.
'Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision'. (Joel 3:14)
There are two beasts in Revelation 13. The "earth" beast is the one who enforces the mark, and the "sea" beast is the one who's mark it is. Evidence suggests that America is the Earth Beast and there is undeniable proof showing that the sea beast is the Papacy. So what is the mark? It must be the "mark" of the Roman Catholic Church.
Is the Mark of the Beast a Microchip?
Let's quickly look at this theory of the mark being a chip or some sort of technology. There is one big problem with this theory which most Christians miss. If the government forced upon you a chip or ID card or whatever, would that stop you from worshipping God in spirit and truth, or would it stop you from keeping His commandments? Of course not! How could God reject you for just receiving (forcibly) a chip or ID card, even though you are still loving, obeying and serving Him? It's not possible. The only way to receive the mark would be to go against God and His Commandments, and give your allegiance to the beast instead of God. This issue is all to do with WORSHIP.
Now could a chip or ID card be used by the beast system to keep track of people in the end times? Could this technology be used to stop those of us who refuse the mark of the beast from "buying and selling"? (Rev. 13:17) Yes! But in of itself, technology CANNOT, and I cannot stress this strong enough, CANNOT be the beasts mark that causes the undiluted wrath of God.
God is not concerned with material things. After all, He is a Spirit and is concerned with spiritual matters. He is concerned with how we worship Him, because He is seeking those who worship in spirit and truth. Please think very carefully about this issue, so that you will not be deceived like so many will be. Satan is the arch deceiver, and He is using all his spiritual powers to deceive the world into taking the mark of the beast. But how deceiving would it be to just enforce a microchip or card as the mark? Not deceiving at all. What does Revelation 13:14 say?
Revelation 13:14 ...'And he DECEIVED them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do.'
The real mark of the beast must be a spiritual mark that is received as a result of us going against God and His law. It cannot be a physical mark. Please understand this. Satan is going to deceive the world into accepting a law of the Roman Catholic beast, which will go against the law of our Creator God. Take a look at what the result of receiving this mark will be.
Revelation 14:9-10 ...'And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.'
Did you see what it said? The angel represents Gods messengers on earth, and they are saying that the mark of the beast is to do with WORSHIP! Anyone who "worships" the beast, by accepting its laws and traditions over the law of God will receive its mark. Therefore those who receive the beasts mark will be those who follow the beast (Roman Catholic Church), or its image (church-state union in America) instead of God. And they will be thrown into the lake of fire. The world has a choice to make in the last days, and the choice is to either obey God, or obey satan and his beast.
But the word "Mark" in Revelation 13 means a literal mark!
Yes, and so does the word "beast" in Revelation 13 mean a literal beast. And the "dragon" in Revelation 12 mean a literal dragon. And the "harlot woman" in Revelation 17, riding a "scarlet beast" means a literal prostitute woman riding a literal red beast. And so on...
Are we now to say that we will have literal beasts roaming the earth forcing the world to worship them? And a literal prostitute riding a beast, causing the world to follow her? No. Revelation is FULL of symbolic language. And just because the meaning of a certain word points to the literal thing itself. Doesn't mean it will be literal in real life. It's symbolic. Same applies to the mark of the beast.
God's Law and the Mark of the Beast

How do we know that receiving the mark of the beast is a result of going against God's law?
Revelation 14:12 ...'Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.'
Straight after the third angel warns of receiving the beast's mark, he announces that those who don't receive the mark are those who are KEEPING GODS COMMANDMENTSand the faith of Jesus. In other words, the true remnant church of God are those who follow in Jesus' footsteps, and what did Jesus say? ... John 15:10 ...'If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.' ... Are we not to follow Jesus? The sad thing is, the truth of God's law has been cast down by satan and many professing Christians are deceived into thinking that keeping God's Ten Commandments is not important.
Now we know from Revelation 13 that the beast's mark is received either in the forehead or in the hand ... Revelation 13:16 ...'And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.' ... There is also another set of people that have a mark on their foreheads ... Revelation 14:1 ...'And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.'
So during the last days we have two sets of people. One with the beast's mark and one with God's name written on their foreheads. Now will these people be walking around with a literal mark on their foreheads, or the name of God actually written on their foreheads? I don't believe so, I believe these marks will be spiritual ones. Remember, the book of Revelation is full of symbolic language. Take the harlot women for instance in Revelation 17:3,5 ...'and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.' ... Is this going to be a literal prostitute riding a literal beast with those names on her forehead? Of course not, this is symbolic, just like the mark of the beast and the seal of God.
Is there any significance to receiving the mark in the forehead or hand? Yes there is, which we can see from the following Old Testament scripture.
Deuteronomy 6:6-8 .....'And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.'
Deuteronomy 11:8,18 .....'Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it. Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.'
What does it mean to bind Gods Words, His law upon our hands and foreheads? God wasn't asking them to literally write them on their hands and heads. He wanted them to keep His Commandments in their minds to stop them from sinning.
Did you know that the front of our brain (forehead) is where our thoughts and decisions are made?
The hand represents our actions. So if the people had the mark of Gods law in their hands and foreheads, then it meant that they were keeping Gods law in their minds spiritually, through their thoughts and decisions, the way Jesus taught us, and also in their actions.
Hebrews 10:16 .....'This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them.'
God would 'seal' His law in the hearts (minds) of His people, and they would be the one's keeping God's ten Commandments and would not be deceived into receiving the mark of the beast.
Isaiah 8:16 .....'Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.'
Remember, Bible prophecy reveals that we would have two groups of people during the end times. One group of people with the seal of God, and the other group with the mark of the beast. In other words, we will have one group who will yield their minds and actions to the beast, and have the beasts mark, and another group that will yield their minds and actions to God and have Gods seal. Or His name spiritually written in their foreheads. To understand this further, we need to find out what the truth is about the name of God. Is it just a set of words, or does it have a deeper meaning to it?
Exodus 34:5-7 .....'And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.'
Do you see the truth about the name of God in the above verses? God proclaimed His Name to Moses on Mount Sinai. But God didn't tell Moses to command people to use certain words for His Name. No, the name that God proclaimed was His CHARACTER! - merciful, gracious, forgiving, longsuffering etc. God reveals that the 'name of the Lord' is His character, Just as Jesus confirmed ... John 17:6 ...'I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.' ... Jesus didn't just go around pronouncing the words of Gods name in the correct way. He displayed and proclaimed Gods character in His life. So now we can see that when it says in Revelation that the one group of people have Gods name in their foreheads, it means that Gods character has become a deep part of their lives, thinking and actions. The same way as the other group of people have given their thoughts and actions to the beast and receive the beasts mark.
As we mentioned earlier, the sea beast of Revelation 13 is the Papal Church of Rome (Roman Catholic Church), and the mark of the beast is the mark of the Roman Catholic Church. Out of interest, let's ask the Roman Catholic Church if they have any kind of "mark" that goes against the law of God.
"Of course the change (from Sabbath to Sunday) was her act .... and the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters." (signed by H.F.Thomas, Chancellor for Cardinal Gibbons, in a letter dated Nov. 11, 1895)
"the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." (Catholic record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923)
"Sunday is a time when all Christians discover the Eucharist form that their life is called to have ... the Cardinal stressed how the way in which we celebrate Sunday determines the way in which we live the rest of the week, since it is the mark of Christian identity." (Cardinal O'Malley, Archbishop of Boston, Sanctifying celebration, the family in the Lord’s Day, 1st June 2012)
WOW! Right out of the horses mouth! So if the beast is the Roman Catholic Church, what does she say is her "mark"? Changing commandment number 4 from the seventh day (our Saturday) to Sunday is her MARK! The Roman Catholic Church believe that changing the Sabbath Day from the seventh day to the first is her "MARK" of authority. The Roman Catholic Church is also the little horn power in Daniel that "thinks to change times and laws" (Daniel 7:25). So this fits with Bible prophecy also.
Is Sunday the Mark of the Beast?
There's a very interesting connection that many people miss with this issue. If you read Revelation 13:16-17, you will see that the mark of the beast is connected to "buying and selling". Now something we need to understand is that there is a great spiritual war between Christ and Satan. Satan is the great deceiver, and through his miracles and wonders (Revelation 13:13-14) he manages to DECEIVE virtually the whole world (professing Christians included). And how does he deceive the masses? By counterfeiting God and transforming himself into an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14). Satan has a counterfeit for just about everything found in the Word of God. And he has managed to deceive virtually the whole world on one particular point in Gods ten commandments.
Now notice this very carefully. In Revelation 13 we find a certain LAW being enforced. And it is connected to "buying and selling". If you keep this "law" of Satan and receive the mark, then you will be able to "buy and sell". Now do we find anything in Gods law concerning buying and selling, that Satan can counterfeit and deceive the people? Yes! The 4th commandment ...
Exodus 20:8-11 ...'Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.'
So God tells us in the 4th commandment that on the sabbath day, "business transactions" (work) is forbidden. Which means that Gods people are NOT to do any "buying or selling" on the sabbath. So what Satan has done is to introduce a counterfeit sabbath day through the Roman Catholic Church (Sunday), and when the time is right, he will have the Sunday law enforced, so that only those who accept the false sabbath can continue to "buy and sell".
"Therefore, also in the particular circumstances of our own time, Christians will naturally strive to ensure that civil legislation respects their duty to keep Sunday holy." (John Paul II, Dies Domini, 1998)
Virtually the whole professed Christian world has embraced this false sabbath (Sunday), and they are ripe to be deceived by the evil one into taking the mark of the beast. But Sunday keeping AT THIS MOMENT is not the mark of the beast. It needs to be enforced as a day of rest by civil law in order for it to become the mark of the beast. And this is what the Roman Catholic Church are pushing for right now. But that doesn't mean you can rest easy for the time being. Once you come to the truth, you need to live by it. Otherwise, God may withdraw His Spirit from your life and you will be in danger of becoming entangled in the deceptions of Satan, not having the power to overcome.
Note: Will God's people be safe by just keeping the seventh day sabbath commandment? No. We need to keep all of God's ten commandments, AND the faith of Jesus Christ (Revelation 14:12).
The Sabbath day Truth
Where did Sunday keeping come from? - "For although almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the mysteries on the Sabbath [7th day - Saturday] of every week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and at Rome, on account of some ancient tradition, have ceased to do this." (Socrates, Ecclesiastical History, b.5, ch.22, found in Nicene and Post-Nicene fathers)
It is clearly evident from the New Testament itself (Acts 16:13, Matthew 28:1, Luke 23:56), and historical writings like above, that the true believers and followers of Jesus Christ kept the 7th day sabbath as per the 4th commandment. But as we can see above, the professed Christians in Alexandria and Rome did not keep the Biblical sabbath. Instead, they started keeping Sunday in honor of 'some ancient tradition' - Pagan sun worship.
"No evidence has been adduced, that before the enactment of this law [Constantine's Sunday law of AD321], there was sabbatical observance of 'the Lord's day' [Sunday] in any part of Christendom." (Robert Cox, The Literature of the Sabbath Question, 1865, Vol.1 p.257)
Truth TriumphantWhen Jerusalem was destroyed, Antioch in Syria became the 'capital' of Christianity. From here, unadulterated Bible truth flowed to the rest of the world. But Satan had set up a counterfeit system in Alexandria and Rome. Alexandria was the place for worldly 'learned men', and was the place where Jews were compromising with pagan philosophy. Rome was the 'world capital' for paganism, and this greatly influenced the church at Rome. Then, an alliance was made between Alexandria and Rome!

The people of both Alexandria and Rome strove to exalt ancient tradition over Bible truth. Clement, the teacher of Origen, boasted that he would not teach Christianity unless it was mixed with pagan philosophy (Mosheim, Commentaries, cent.2, vol.1, p.341). And Victor I, bishop of Rome, entered into a pact with Clement around 190AD, to help make Sunday the prominent day of worship in the churches. Then as the Roman Church grew into power and dominance and God's true church was driven into the wilderness, Sunday became the prominent day.

The sabbath is a controversial subject in the Christian world today. Mention the seventh day sabbath to the majority of professed Christians and you will probably get a reply saying that you are still "under the old covenant". Sunday keepers believe that the first day was being kept in place of the seventh day by the Apostles after Jesus, and that ALL Christians have kept Sunday since then. But this is not truth. They are merely following Rome's false version of history. B.G.Wilkinson writes, concerning the ancient Celtic Church ... "The unscrupulousness of the victors in destroying or in misrepresenting the records of the past has placed a false face over the true story of the Celtic Church. The gulf between that church and the papacy was great, even as late as 1120AD." (B.G.Wilkinson, Truth Triumphant)
"It seems to have been customary in the Celtic Churches of early times, in Ireland as well as Scotland, to keep Saturday ... as a day of rest from labor. They obeyed the fourth commandment literally upon the seventh day of the week." (Moffat, The Church in Scotland, p.140)
Speaking of the Roman Catholic queen Margaret ..."The queen protested against the prevailing abuse of Sunday desecration. 'Let us', she said, 'venerate the Lord's day, inasmuch as upon it our Saviour rose from the dead: let us do no servile work on that day' ... The Scots in this matter had no doubt kept up the traditional practice of the ancient monastic Church of Ireland, which observed Saturday, rather than Sunday as a day of rest." (Bellesheim, History of the Catholic Church in Scotland, vol.1, p.249-250)
Even the 'old' heathen world recognized the sacredness of the 7th day Sabbath:"Aulus Gellius states that some of the heathen philosophers were accustomed to teach only on the seventh day; Alexander Severus used to frequent the temples on the seventh day; Lucian mentions the seventh day as a holiday. The ancient Arabians observed a Sabbath before the era of Mohammed. The mode of reckoning by 'seven days,' prevailed alike amongst the Indians, the Egyptians, the Celts, the Sclavonians, the Greeks and the Romans. Josephus then makes no groundless statement when he says, 'there is not any city of the Grecians, nor any of the barbarians, nor any nation whatsoever, whither our custom of resting on the seventh day hath not come!' Theophilus of Antioch states as a palpable fact, that the seventh day was everywhere considered sacred; and Philo (apud Grot. et Gale) declares the seventh day to be a festival, not of this or of that city, but of the universe!" Today, Sunday keepers believe the 4th commandment is no longer binding under the new covenant. But what you are about to read is Bible PROOF that the seventh day sabbath IS still binding today.
Ok, there is a lot of Biblical evidence that shows the seventh day sabbath to be an eternal "institution", which we will show below. But first let us confirm a Bible TRUTH concerning the sabbath day in the old and new covenants that CANNOT be refuted.
How was the old covenant ratified (made valid)? If you read Exodus 24:8, you will see that it was through the shed blood of an animal that the old covenant was ratified and sealed.
Same question with regards to the new covenant. How was it ratified? We all know that the new covenant was ratified and sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ, which Hebrews 10:29 confirms. Now take a look at the following verses:
Hebrews 9:16-17 ...'For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.'
So what does this Bible verse above tell us? It tells us clearly that a testament (or covenant) could not go into effect while the testator lives. It can only go into effect after the testator dies. It's the same with a will. If a man leaves his estate to someone else in a will. The will is not binding until after that man dies. The same applied with the new covenant. It could not go into effect until Jesus Christ had died and sealed it with His blood. Now take a look at the next Bible verse:
Galatians 3:15 ...'Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.'
Do you see what is being said here? Paul confirms in the above Bible verse that NOTHING can be added or taken away from a covenant once it has been confirmed (ratified). Which means that nothing could be added or taken away from the new covenant that Jesus sealed with His own blood. Again, the example of a man's will explains this too. When a will and testament has been made by someone. Once he has died, nothing can be changed in that will.
Now two important questions for you:
- Did Jesus change or abolish the 7th day Sabbath during His life?
- When was Sunday keeping introduced?
So let's answer these two important questions. Firstly, did Jesus change or abolish the seventh day sabbath during His life and ministry on earth? Well, if we look through the Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, we will clearly see that there is not a single hint at Christ Jesus changing or abolishing the 7th day sabbath of the 4th commandment. And if the sabbath day WAS going to be changed or abolished, then we can be assured that Jesus WOULD HAVE MENTIONED it, as it was one of the ten commandments.
What we can say though is that the New Testament CONFIRMS the sabbath day commandment as still active in Matthew 12:8; Matthew 24:20; Luke 23:56; Acts 16:13.
Now taking the Biblical rule above that NOTHING CAN BE TAKEN AWAY from a covenant, once the testator has died, it means ... The 7th day sabbath is part of the new covenant.
What about Sunday keeping? We all know that this was introduced AFTER the death of Christ Jesus (and NOT by the disciples like so many falsely believe). Therefore it was introduced AFTER the new covenant was sealed by the blood of Christ. And using the Biblical rule above that NOTHING CAN BE ADDED to the covenant or changed in the covenant, once the testator has died and sealed it, it means ... Sunday keeping CANNOT be part of the new covenant. Even if you still strongly believe that the disciples changed the Sabbath day, it still cannot be part of the new covenant, because it was done AFTER the covenant was sealed by the death and blood of Jesus.
"Well, I keep Sunday in honor of the resurrection of Christ. There is nothing wrong with that!" ... I hear someone say. Ok, since when has our faith in Christ been about what WE want to do? Show me just one command from the Bible, where Jesus or anyone else says that we should honor the first day of the week. It isn't there. And yet there IS a command for us to keep the seventh day (our Saturday) as the sabbath. And we have shown above that this STILL REMAINS in the new covenant.
Are we not to obey God rather than man? Are we not to do God's will rather than our own? (Psalm 118:8)
Matthew 5:17-18 ...'Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.'
Sabbath for Eternity
Sabbath at CreationNow in light of what we have shown you above. If you can see the next truth concerning the sabbath, then you will understand the eternal nature of God's commandments, and specifically, the sabbath commandment.
Genesis 2:2-3 ...'And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.'
Exodus 20:8-11 ...'Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.'
So above we have the seventh day that God blessed and set apart during creation week and the 4th commandment concerning the sabbath day. Do you see that the day mentioned in each verse is the SAME day? Many Christians today claim that the seventh day sabbath only started at Mount Sinai. But this is just not true, as God is clearly saying in Exodus 20 above that the seventh day of creation IS THE SABBATH DAY. It was blessed and set apart from the other six common working days by God at the end of creation week. Therefore it MUST have been instituted right there and then. Which is why God said "REMEMBER" the sabbath day in the 4th commandment. Remember the day I set aside for you at the end of creation week.
God is pointing us back to creation week in the 4th commandment!
So what does this mean? Have a real good think about this and be true to your God when He opens your eyes to a new truth. It means that the seventh day sabbath was instituted and being kept by Adam and Eve BEFORE the fall. And THAT means the sabbath was instituted BEFORE sin entered this world, which means the seventh day sabbath was meant to be kept for ALL ETERNITY, and could NEVER be changed or abolished by any man. It also means that the sabbath was instituted BEFORE there were any Jews, proving that the sabbath was not just for the Jews.
Jesus Himself said that NOTHING shall pass away from the law until heaven and earth itself passes away (Matthew 5:17-18). Has heaven and earth passed away? No, therefore the law (ten commandments) STILL STAND. And we know Jesus was talking about the ten commandments, because if we take Matthew 5 in context, then we can see from verse 21 onwards, He is teaching about the law contained in the ten commandments.
Friend, the seventh day sabbath IS part of the new covenant. But Sunday is NOT part of the new covenant. This is the Bible truth. Jesus didn't come to do away with the ten commandments or the sabbath. He came to TEACH US HOW TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. The mistake that many Christians make is merging the ceremonial, sacrificial laws in with the ten commandments, thinking that Jesus nailed it all to the cross. But that's not so. The ten commandments and the ceremonial laws are two distinct laws. The one (ten commandments), Jesus came to exalt and teach us how to keep. The other (ceremonial, sacrificial laws) were a "shadow of things to come" and "nailed to the cross". The sacrificial laws pointed to Christ Jesus as our sacrifice. But the ten commandments are God's eternal moral laws that will stand forever!
Ecclesiastes 3:14 ...'I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.'
If you learn the truth about the mark of the beast, you will see why the sabbath day of the 4th commandment is a very important issue in relation to the end times.

Babylon, Health Reform and Three Angel's Message
Revelation 14:6-7 ...' And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.'
How can we 'give glory to God' in our bodies? The answer is simple and straight forward. Health and temperance!
Revelation 14:9-12 ...'And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.'
Anyone who is deceived into following the beast and taking it's mark will receive the wrath of God and be lost. Now what kind of person will be more able to perform diligent personal study and devotion to God and detect the deception? A healthy person who has a clear healthy mind? Or a sickly, diseased person who's mind is clouded, and relies on drugs? Obviously it will be the clear healthy mind!
What else suppresses and clouds our minds? Alcohol! This needs to be eradicated completely if we are to have clear healthy minds to discern between error and truth!
Now who is it that is 'worshiped' by the world in the last days? The beast of Revelation 13 right? And this beast is the same as the beast in Revelation 17. But there is another important entity involved - BABYLON, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS! She is the harlot woman riding (or controlling) the beast. And do you know one of the ways Babylon is deceiving the nations today? Take a look ...
Revelation 18:23 ...'for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.'
Do you know what that word 'sorceries' is in the original Greek? It's 'pharmakeia', which means - 'the use or the administering of drugs'. And it is the very word where 'pharmaceuticals' came from! So the nations today have been DECEIVED by the PHARMACEUTICALS of Babylon! And oh, what a deception!
The vast majority of people around the world today have been deceived into thinking that pharmaceutical drugs are safe and are made to help us. But the reality is, these big pharma drugs do not give any healing and only severely weaken the immune system. Not only that, they cause many people to become addicted to them! Now take a look at these inspired quotes from 100 years ago ...
"Drug medication should be worked away from as fast as possible, until entirely discarded." (E.White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 406)
"Drugging should be forever abandoned; for while it does not cure any malady, it enfeebles the system, making it more susceptible to disease." (E.White, Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 83)
"It is the Lord's purpose that His method of healing without drugs shall be brought into prominence in every large city through our medical institutions." (E.White, Counsels on Health, p. 394)
Are you or your church/institution actively using pharmaceutical drugs? Then you are going against the Lord's will and design.
"In every health institution that has fallen into worldly practices, the Lord calls for a decided change." (E.White, 16 Manuscript Releases, par.14.1)
As God's people we should have health centres that treat Cancer using proven natural methods like raw juicing, high doses of good Vitamin C, reformed diet, and good exercise, NOT drugs and Chemotherapy. Then our health institutions would be a true witness for God and we would fulfil our true medical missionary calling. But if our first line of 'treatment' is in the use of drugs, then we look just like the world, and God is not glorified!
Health MessageGod created us humans from the soil. So naturally, the food we need to be consuming, should be natural food that also comes from the soil. Fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and legumes. The problem is, society today is bombarded with processed junk that on the whole isn't even real food. A lot of the foods being sold in supermarkets today have been 'made' in science labs. They are not only devoid of nutrition, but are FULL of processed sugars, fats and chemicals that are harmful to our bodies.
Add to that all the toxic chemicals which are put in the soil and sprayed onto the crops and you have a recipe for disaster!
So how can I be more healthy to prevent and even cure disease? 1 - Move yourself off dairy and processed foods. 2 - Fill your diet with fruits, veg, seeds, nuts and legumes. 3 - Purchase organic food where possible, or grow your own. 4 - Move away from pharmaceutical drugs as soon as you can. 5 - Stop drinking alcohol, tea, coffee and fizzy drinks. 6 - Drink more filtered water. 7 - Get lots of exercise. 8 - Get plenty of fresh air. 9 - Read the Bible. 10 - Trust in God.

These things do their work in deranging the stomach, exciting the nerves, and enfeebling the intellect. The blood-making organs cannot convert such things into good blood. Fine-flour bread does not impart to the system the nourishment that is to be found in unbolted wheat bread. Its common use will not keep the system in the best condition. The blood becomes fevered, the animal propensities are aroused, while the moral and intellectual powers are weakened, and become servants to the baser passions. And what do most people end up turning to, as a result of their poor diet? Pharmaceutical drugs! And the spiral towards a wrecked body and mind increases.
Do we really need to mention smoking tobacco, or any other substance? We all know the devastating effects of smoking. By inhaling this stuff, you are greatly defiling the 'temple of God'. And if you think you are ok by smoking these new e-cigaretts, think again, because these things also contain nicotine and other poisonous chemicals that are harmful to the body.
"With many, the appetite clamors for the disgusting weed, tobacco, and ale, made powerful by poisonous, health-destroying mixtures. Many do not stop even here. Their debased appetites call for stronger drink, which has a still more benumbing influence upon the brain. Thus they give themselves up to every excess, until appetite holds complete control over the reasoning faculties; and man, formed in the image of his Maker, debases himself lower than the beasts." (A Solemn Appeal, p.102)

"God has written His law upon every nerve and muscle, every fibre and function of the human body. The indulgence of unnatural appetite, whether for tea, coffee, tobacco, or liquor, is intemperance, and is at war with the laws of life and health. By using these forbidden articles, a condition of things is created in the system which the Creator never designed. This indulgence in any of the members of the human family is sin. But how much more sinful is it in those who profess to be Christians, who say they are Abraham's children. They are not, because they do not practice the works of the Lord. The eating of food that does not make good blood is working against the laws of our physical organism, and is a violation of the law of God. The cause produces the effect. Wow, that's a pretty strong message right? A message that the majority of God's professed people cannot bear, and will disregard as fanaticism! And yet if we really think about it, there is much truth in the quote above and one we need to take very seriously. There are two things to note concerning coffee, tea and alcohol. One is the clear truth that they are not good for our bodies and can do us harm. The other point is that many people become addicted to these drinks. So they could be classed as a type of drug. Now what becomes difficult to practice when we are addicted to substances? TEMPERANCE.
2 Peter 1:5-7 ...'And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.'
Temperance is an important part of our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. But how can we practice and grow in temperance when we are addicted to substances like tea, coffee or alcohol? We cannot! Therefore, anything that gets in the way of us practicing temperance needs to be eradicated from our lives.
Are you willing to submit fully to the ways of the Lord? Jesus Christ gave His ALL for us, even while we were sinners! So if we are not willing to give up some unhealthful substances and practice true temperance for our blessed Saviour, then we are showing Him that we do not have a true faith, and our salvation is in danger. And no, we are NOT saved by 'giving up coffee', we are saved by grace through faith. BUT, the way we live PROVES whether our faith is genuine or not. Is your faith genuine?
The great subject of Godly reform is to be agitated, and the public mind is to be stirred. Temperance in all things is to be connected with the message, to turn the people of God from their idolatry, their gluttony, and their extravagance in dress and other things. The self-denial, humility, and temperance required of the righteous, whom God especially leads and blesses, is to be presented to the people in contrast to the extravagant, health-destroying habits of those who live in this degenerate age. What about Meat?
"Greater reforms should be seen among the people who claim to be looking for the soon appearing of Christ. Health reform is to do among our people a work which it has not yet done. There are those who ought to be awake to the danger of meat eating who are still eating the flesh of animals, thus endangering the physical, mental, and spiritual health. Many who are now only half converted on the question of meat eating will go from God's people, to walk no more with them." (Review & Herald May 27, 1902)
Was it God's will for man to kill animals and use animal meat and produce as food? No. God's original plan was for man to be sustained by the food of the earth, which God created, fruit, nuts and grains. And this is what God is pointing us to in the three angels messages of Revelation 14. He is pointing us back to creation, and Him as the Creator. The only reason animal meat came into the diet was first, because of sin. Secondly, God allowed it after the flood because the vegetation was destroyed, and thirdly we have an account in Numbers 11, where the Israelites started moaning and desired "flesh" to eat, as they had become accustomed to in Egypt
Numbers 11:4-5 ...'And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick.'
But Jesus and His disciples ate fish right? Yes they did. Which is why this health message is a message particularly for the end times, where we are living now.
Back 2000 years ago, "Biblically clean" fish and animal meat was far more pure and didn't contain the diseases, toxins, drugs and growth hormones that we find in the majority of animals and fish today. The earth is so polluted now, that no flesh is safe to eat. You ask any health expert or scientist who isn't afraid to speak the truth, and you will be told that the majority of animals and fish are diseased and full of toxins. Look at the KNOWN oil spills during the past 10 years alone. The seas and rivers are now full of deadly chemicals, and these chemicals get soaked into the fish that live in these waters. And the way animals are reared now, being fattened up with growth hormones and pumped with anti-biotics to combat disease, their flesh is no longer safe to eat.
Just look at this quote made back in the mid 1800's ...
"There are but a few animals that are free from disease. They have been made to suffer greatly for the want of light, pure air, and wholesome food. When they are fattened, they are often confined in close stables, and are not permitted to exercise, and to have free circulation of air. Many poor animals are left to breathe the poison of filth which is left in barns and stables. Their lungs will not long remain healthy while inhaling such impurities. Disease is conveyed to the liver, and the entire system of the animal is diseased. They are killed, and prepared for the market, and people eat freely of this poisonous animal food. Much disease is caused in this manner. But people cannot be made to believe that it is the meat they have eaten, which has poisoned their blood, and caused their sufferings. Many die of disease caused wholly by meat-eating, yet the world does not seem to be the wiser ... Their blood is highly inflamed, and those who eat of their meat, eat poison. Some are not immediately affected, while others are attacked with severe pain, and die from fever, cholera, or some unknown disease. Very many animals are sold for the city market known to be diseased by those who have sold them, and those who buy them are not always ignorant of the matter. If this was happening back in the 1800's, just imagine the poisonous state of animal flesh today!! As a matter of fact, doctors who are educated in health are now attributing many diseases to poor diet and meat eating.
Meat demand sparks dramatic rise in antibiotic use
Now remember what the first angel said? ... Revelation 14:7 ...'Fear God and give glory to Him.' ... What is one way of us giving glory to God? ... 1 Corinthians 6:20 ...'For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.' ... How can we give glory to God "in our bodies" if we continue to fill it with poisonous flesh and alcohol and refined sugar, making ourselves sick, diseased and in need of Babylon's pharmaceutical drugs, which in turn makes us even worse? No. We need to "present our bodies a living sacrifice" to God (Romans 12:1) by reforming our diet and living a healthy lifestyle. After all, a healthy body will help produce a healthy mind and a healthy soul. Does God not desire this of His people? Of course He does.
Meat should be totally discarded from our diets now. Including alcohol and pharmaceutical drugs.
God has shown us many things through the prophet Daniel. Good health being one of them ...
Daniel 1:8,12,15 ...'But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself ... Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink ... And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.'
Friend, a time has come when we as the children of God need to be clear minded. Clear minded to help us discern the great deceptions that Satan is bringing upon this world. He knows his time is short, so he is going to use all his craft and power to deceive God's people during these last days. Which is why we need to do our best to build our bodies up to be able to resist disease and sickness, so that we can think clearly, discern between right and wrong and bring glory to God in our lives.
Health reform needs to be a part of our Christian growth, as we draw nearer and nearer to Christ Jesus, and as we enter (spiritually) into the most holy place of God's heavenly sanctuary, into the very presence of God.
3 John 1:2 ...'Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.'
Verses Used "Against" the Health Message
There are a number of Bible verses that many Christians use to "support" their meat eating (including Biblical "unclean" meat), and which they use against the health message. Let's examine the verses in question.
1.Matthew 15:11 ...'Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.'
If we simply take the whole chapter in context, it can be easily seen that what Jesus is talking about is the Pharisees rules on eating with unwashed hands. And although Jesus is not saying that eating with dirty hands is ok. He is merely pointing out that the Pharisees placed more importance on these ritual rules than they did on love. So Jesus is teaching a "heart" issue, in that what comes from the heart is that which really makes a person "evil", not what goes into the stomach.
2.Acts 10:10-13 ...'And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.'
This is such a well known misunderstood piece of scripture that many Christians use to "validate" their eating of unclean animals. And yet the meaning of the vision is clearly given within the context. Now let's say that the vision DID mean we can now eat anything. Shall we now start eating dogs, cats, rats, horses and such like? Do Christians eat such things? Of course not. And yet they use this verse to support their eating of pigs and other Biblically unclean flesh. Peter even said himself after the vision ... 'Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.' ... He was shocked and troubled by this vision. Why? Because he couldn't believe that God would now pronounce all unclean animals and insects as ok to eat.
So what does this vision REALLY mean? ... Acts 10:28,34,35 ...'And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any MAN common or unclean ... Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.'
Through this vision, God was basically showing Peter that ALL PEOPLE who fear God and do His will are accepted ("clean"). So why did God use a vision to do with eating? Maybe because as verse 10 says, Peter was very hungry before he had the vision. Also in the vision, God spoke THREE times, saying that what He had cleansed, Peter should not call common. Why THREE times? Because THREE NON-JEWS then came to see Peter to take him to Cornelius.
3.1 Timothy 4:4 ...'For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.'
Again, if we read in context, we can see that in verses 1-3 it says ... 'in the latter times some shall depart from the faith ... Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron ... Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats.' ... Some say that this is speaking about the Adventist church. But note, Paul is saying that these "individuals" teaching to abstain from meats also teach not to marry. The Adventist church does not forbid marriage, but rather promotes marriage between a man and woman. On the other hand, the Roman Catholic church does forbid eating foods on certain holiday celebrations and forbids marriage through it's institutions of the nuns and priests.
Please also notice this important point ... The word "meats" in verse 3 simply means FOOD. When the Bible is talking about animal meat, it says "flesh". But when talking about non-flesh food, it uses the word "meat". For example, in Genesis 1:29 God tells Adam and Eve what He has created for them to eat ... 'every herb bearing seed and the fruit of the tree yielding seed'. And what does God call this food in Genesis 1:29? MEAT. So going back to verse 3 of Timothy above, what "meat" has God CREATED to be received with thanksgiving? Food of the earth. Because God did NOT create animals to be killed and eaten. That was not His plan.
Also, did you notice that in verse 4 it says 'every CREATURE of God is good.'? The word Creature simply means "thing founded" or "created thing". So if "creature" in this verse means anything other than natural products of the earth which God created for us to eat, then people will HAVE to include every crawling thing upon the face of the earth .. INCLUDING HUMANS! So, is it ok to eat rats, spiders, dogs, cats, and people? Is cannibalism now approved? After all, Mark 16:15 says ... 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.'
The only logical conclusion is that Paul is talking about those who would forbid the eating of foods that God originally created for our diet.
1 Timothy 4:5...'For it is sanctified by the word of God AND prayer.'
How is food sanctified (made holy for us to eat)? NOT just by prayer which many Christians seem to believe. But rather by the Word of God AND prayer. Now, where in the Bible is unclean meat like pig, camel, mice, bats, eagle sanctified? Where?!
4.Romans 14:2-3 ...'For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.'
Now let's look at what Paul said in chapter 12:1 ...'I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.' ... Do you really think that Paul would plead with us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and then turn around and suggest that eating anything, even those things that HARM our bodies is ok? I don't think so. Again, if Paul IS suggesting that eating all things is ok, then you must include ALL THINGS, dogs, cats, rats, horses, etc. Would this be acceptable to God? No way! So what is Paul saying above in chapter 14?
The context of the point Paul is putting across is to do with "those who are weak in the faith". That is, one who has but a limited grasp of the principles of righteousness. He is eager to be saved and is willing to do whatever he believes is required of him. But in the immaturity of his Christian experience and probably also as the result of former education and belief, he attempts to make his salvation more certain by the observance of certain rules and regulations (ceremonial laws) that are in reality not binding upon him. To him these regulations assume great importance. He regards them as absolutely binding upon him for salvation, and he is distressed and confused when he sees other Christians about him, especially those who seem to be more experienced, who do not share his assumptions.
In Corinthians the problem is identified in the practice of eating foods sacrificed to idols. According to the ancient practice, pagan priests carried on an extensive merchandise of the animal sacrifices offered to idols. Paul told the Corinthian believers, which were converts from both Judaism and Paganism that inasmuch as an idol was nothing, there was no wrong, so to speak, in eating foods dedicated to it. However, he explains, because there were some who were beginners in the faith and still fairly weak, and could not with a free conscience eat such foods, Paul urged those who were stronger in the faith not to place a stumbling block in a brother's way by indulging in those foods. And Probably for fear of offending in this matter some Christians abstained from flesh foods (Biblically clean meat) entirely, which means that their food was restricted to "herbs", that is, vegetables.
So what is meant by "all things"? All things that are sanctified (pronounced clean, as per Levitical laws) by the Word of God. Does the Word of God pronounce dogs, cats, pigs and wild beasts as clean to eat? No.
If people would only take the WHOLE of God's Word in context, they would see the clear truth of the matter. God is trying to draw men back to the original plan in the Garden of Eden. And He wants a people in the last days who are living according to that original plan. This is the message of the three angels of Revelation 14. A message of turning away from the world and Babylon's deceptions, and returning back to God. The messages point us to our Creator. And how were we made? We were made in the image of God. So should we act and live in the image of God. This is the health message. Please bring glory to God in all you do.

An interesting article about the beast's mark. It makes sense in a lot of ways when viewed from this angle that the mark would be of a more spiritual nature. I could see technological means dividing Christians from non Christians, but I never imagined the reasons Christians would want to refrain from taking the mark that would prevent them from engaging in commerce. Seems like needless complications in a world that already has a lot of problems with Christianity. The spiritual mark seems far more understandable. Personally I feel like the changing of the day of Sabboth being evidence of the Beast's influence is reaching just a bit, as interesting as the supporting historical information was. Honestly I'd never stopped to consider why the Sabboth was changed. Figured maybe it was just something Christians did to piss off the Pagans, like changing CHrist's birthday to December.
Hmm, an interesting article about health. I can certainly get behind a lot of this being as I am from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While we do not forbid meat, we are councelled to consume it "sparingly", and there is a lot of discussion bout what that actually means. We've also been commanded to obstain from cigarettes, coffee, non-herbal teas, drugs and alcohol, though there seems to be a lot of room for interpretation regarding some of that. The Word of Wisdom was instituted even before this sited article was published, and I find it interesting that there was so much concern about some of these substances even so long ago. I have no doubt many of the things mentioned here have only gotten more problematic as the years have gone by. I have never tried a diet like that which has been referred to in this article. But it seems like those who do eat healthier have a lot of good to say about doing so. I think there's a lot of practicality in this article, whether you're Christian or not. Certainly all these big drug companies pump out some dubious crap. problem is, just enough of it works and not enough people know about any alternatives that they are the easy place to go to find a cure for what ails us. And if that cure sometimes makes the problems worse or different? Well, maybe it was just the wrong dosage or formulae. Also doesn't help that for lots and lots of people, obstaining from booze, drugs and cigarettes, not to mention meat is just no fun at all. We like our fun, we humans, even when we know it's no good for us. And I'm pretty sure even the most devout smoker can't argue for any benefits of cigarettes, that couldn't be gotten via other less dangerous means.

I didn't read them. But for nearly a month I've been on a vegan diet.
I thought I was pretty healthy, but now I have fewer headaches and virtually no menstrual pain, my gums which had bled for years have completely stopped bleeding and my energy levels are even higher than before. My remaining excess weight has come off. I haven't felt this well since before puberty. I haven't changed anything else - I still exercise and still drink (etc) occasionally.
I started this as an experiment but if these results continue I'll keep eating this way indefinitely.

Thanks. By bleeding gums I mean that when you floss and it bleeds, it's a sign of gum disease. Gone. Nobody told me to expect less headaches and pain, so I couldn't have sugar-pilled those results into existence either.

I was referring to a post he made a while back in which he wrote out an extreeeeemly long list of fattening foods which he was demanding that the staff feed him at his group home. I could look it up but I don't have time.
I can eat fake meat (I hear it's improved a lot in the past few years) but I get plenty of protein from foods like beans and rice, quinoa, soy and other grains and legumes. Protein deficiency isn't a real concern unless someone is either starving or eating a weird restrictive diet, e.g. some blogger who consumed nothing but vegetable juice for a month and now claims vegan diets are dangerous.
My real concerns are getting enough calories i.e. making sure I eat enough food (life is so hard) and nutrients like calcium, iron, omega-3 etc.
Sure, you can get plenty protein from many sources, you just need to do so.

WELL, it's CERTAINLY OBVIOUS that you either INADVERTENTLY, DELIBERATELY, or ALL-ABOVE-MISS the TRUE MESSAGE of this topic, so this VERY NEXT ADDITION SHOULD simplify it for you.
Time of Judgment
If you knew that God was judging you right now, the way you live, and eternal consequences were at stake, how would you react? Would you be happy with the way you are living? Is it in accordance with God's Word and the principles that Christ Jesus and the Apostles laid out? Would you be happy to be judged right now? Well, WE ARE living in that time of judgment right now.
Cases are being decided right now as to who will be worthy to enter into the heavenly kingdom. God is judging the world with Christ Jesus as our only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), pleading our cases for us. And just as the High Priest in the Old Testament cleansed the sanctuary on the day of atonement with the blood of an animal, to cover the sins of the people, Jesus our Heavenly High Priest has moved into the most holy place in the heavenly sanctuary to "spiritually" cleanse it with His own blood and to blot out the sins of those who truly follow Him.

Time of JudgmentSo judgment begins with the "house of God". In other words, it begins with those who profess to follow Christ. Can you confidently say that you are living up to the faith you proclaim? Are you living for Jesus every day? Is He your love, your life, your ALL? Do you have any secret cherished sin that nobody else knows about? Then repent of it and let it go now, because God will bring EVERYTHING you do into judgment .... Ecclesiastes 12:14 ....'For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.' .... There is NOTHING that can be hidden from God. Please bring every sin to the foot of the cross, repent and turn away from it, as we are living in the end times. This judgment will come to an end soon and every case will be decided with no second chances!
In Revelation 22:12 Jesus says that when He returns at the second coming, His REWARD will be with Him to give to everyone according to their works. Now for Jesus to be able to give His reward to everyone at the second coming, whether it be life eternal or the lake of fire, everyone will had to have been judged BEFORE He returns, and this is the judgment that is taking place now. It's an "investigative" judgment to see who His true people are and who are not. Then when He returns, He will issue the "executive" judgment, that is, we will either be rewarded with eternal life, or sentenced to death in the lake of fire.
Daniel 7:10 .....'A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.'
Please understand this important issue. Many professing Christians believe that judgment is not taking place now, and they think they have time to continue living worldly lives, and then get ready nearer the end. Many even believe they will get second chances! ... NO! ... Please don't believe this. The teaching of "second chances" is nothing but a deception from satan, so that people won't be ready! Jesus is telling us we MUST be ready everyday .... Matthew 24:44 .... 'Therefore be ye READY, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh.' .... Just take a look at the Bible verse above in Daniel 7. This is a judgment scene with the record books of every person that has ever lived opened to find out who will be saved and who will be lost. Remember, at the second coming of Jesus, He will HAVE the reward WITH HIM, which means judgment HAS ALREADY TAKEN PLACE.
John 5:28-29 ....'Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.'
Do you see this? For people to be rewarded with eternal life and others to be sentenced to damnation at the resurrection, the judgment must have already taken place. At the resurrection every case will have been decided, NEVER to be reversed.
Preparing in the Time of Judgment

So how should we be living in the time of judgment? Well, think forward to the time when Jesus returns after the judgment is complete. Will you have regrets that you spent more time watching TV, playing games, socializing, reading novels, building your career, making your house nice, than you did with your Lord and Saviour? ALL these things will be burnt up when Christ returns. Let them go now while you still have chance to get right with the Lord.
2 Peter 3:11,14 ....'Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness ..... Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.'
Knowing that we are in the time of judgment, and knowing that this world and everything in it will be laid waste, we need now to start living godly lives, putting aside worldly things and truly living for Christ.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 .....'Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.'
Luke 21:36 .....'Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.'
Luke 13:24 ....'Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.'
"If there ever was a time when serious reflection becomes every one who fears God, it is now, when personal piety is essential. The inquiry should be made, "What am I, and what is my work and mission in this time? On which side am I working--Christ's side or the enemy's side?" Let every soul now humble himself or herself before God, for now we are surely living in the great Day of Atonement. The cases even now of many are passing in review before God, for they are to sleep in their graves a little season. Your profession of faith is not your guarantee in that day, but the state of your affections. Is the soul-temple cleansed of its defilement? Are my sins confessed and am I repenting of them before God, that they may be blotted out? Do I esteem myself too lightly? Am I willing to make any and every sacrifice for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ? Do I feel every moment I am not my own, but Christ's property, that my service belongs to God, whose I am?" (Ms 87, 1886)

Please don't think that you can be saved by your works, because that is impossible. This is NOT the message we are giving here. We can ONLY be saved by the grace of God, which is a free gift to all. BUT, the message we are giving here is that faith ALONE cannot save you as the book of James confirms. A true faith WILL produce works and the evidence of your faith is the works that you do. Do you have a true faith? Then you will be striving to keep God's ten commandments, you will be turning away from worldly things, you will be giving more time to Jesus than anything else, you will be sharing the gospel with others, you will be helping those in need, you will be using the money and possessions that God gave you to further His kingdom, rather than use them as pleasure for yourself. Your life will be consumed with Christ Jesus.
What Happens in the Judgment?
Take a look at this awesome judgment scene pictured by the prophet Daniel .... Daniel 7:9-10,13 .....'I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.'
What an amazing scene! God sits on His fiery throne, millions of angels minister to Him, the record books are opened and Christ Jesus is brought to God to be the intercessor for man. The court is in session! What a scene to behold! Now if you still have doubt as to the validity of this message you are reading, that judgment takes place BEFORE Christ returns at the second coming, then read the above Bible verse again, and then take a look at the following verse.
Revelation 3:5 .....'He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.'
Do you see what Jesus just said above? In a few words He has described the judgment scene of Daniel 7. He says that He will stand before God and the angels and confess the names of TRUE Christians, those who "follow Christ wheresoever He goeth". Now this scene HAS to happen before Jesus returns, because as Jesus said in Revelation 22:12, His reward would be with Him when He returns, to give to the "overcomers".
Did you notice something else important? Did you notice that it is ONLY those who "overcome" that remain in the book of life? Think about it, if your name is IN the book of life, are you in a saved position? Yes! But if you don't overcome this world through your relationship with Christ and you don't live up to the faith you proclaim, what will happen? Your name will be BLOTTED OUT from the book of life, and you will be lost. This shows the teaching of "once saved always saved" to be a false teaching.
Will you be an overcomer? Will you turn away from your sins and give your WHOLE heart, soul, mind and strength in following your Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus? We have been living in the time of judgment for some time now and it will soon come to an end. Soon every case will be decided for good or evil, for saved or for lost .... Revelation 22:11 ....'He that is unjust let him be unjust still; and he which is filthy let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous let him be righteous still; and he that is holy let him be holy still.' .... There will be NO second chances! Let the righteousness of Christ fill your heart now and give your all for Him.
"When the work of the investigative judgment closes, the destiny of all will have been decided for life or death. Probation is ended a short time before the appearing of the Lord in the clouds of heaven. Before the Flood, after Noah entered the ark, God shut him in, and shut the ungodly out; but for seven days the people, knowing not that their doom was fixed, continued their careless, pleasure-loving life, and mocked the warnings of impending judgment. So, says the Saviour, "shall also the coming of the Son of man be" (Matt. 24:39). Silently, unnoticed as the midnight thief, will come the decisive hour which marks the fixing of every man's destiny, the final withdrawal of mercy's offer to guilty men. While the man of business is absorbed in the pursuit of gain, while the pleasure lover is seeking indulgence, while the daughter of fashion is arranging her adornments - it may be in that hour the Judge of all the earth will pronounce the sentence: "Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting." Revelation 14:6-7 ....'And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.'

2300 Day Prophecy
The 2300 day prophecy in Daniel is the longest time prophecy in the Bible and is of vital importance to understand, and yet the truth of this important prophecy is rarely heard today. But on this page you will see this great prophecy come to light. Please prayerfully study this subject and ask God to guide you.
Daniel 8:13-14 ...'Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said, unto two thousand and three hundred days, then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.'
There are two sanctuaries mentioned in Daniel 8. In verse 11, we have 'miqdash', which can be a sanctuary dedicated to either God or an idol. And in verses 13 and 14 we have 'qodesh', which refers specifically to a holy place of God. So "the sanctuary" to be cleansed at the end of this 2300 day time period, as mentioned above refers to a holy place of God. We know that there is no longer an earthly sanctuary which was used by the Levitical priesthood, so this sanctuary must be the original sanctuary in heaven where Jesus dwells and mediates for us (which Pauls confirmed in Hebrews 8 and 9).
Let us confirm an important point first. The majority of other Christians believe that this prophecy relates to a literal 2300 DAYS, and that it will happen in the last days. But this cannot be right. If you read the vision in Daniel 8, you will see that it talks about a ram, a goat and a little horn. And Gabriel actually confirms who the ram and goat represent. They represent Medo-Persia and Greece. Which means the horn that comes after them is Rome. Both Pagan and Papal Rome.
So what does this mean? Think about it. If the vision concerning the 2300 'days' includes Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome, then that time frame of "2300 days" MUST be able to span those nations. Would 2300 literal days span those nations? No, but 2300 YEARS would! And this also means the 2300 "days" HAVE to start sometime during the reign of Medo-Persia, because that is the first kingdom in the vision (the ram).
This also lines up with the fact that the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9 is PART of the 2300 day vision, because at the end of Daniel 8 it says that no one understood the 2300 day vision. Then in Daniel 9, Gabriel says he has come to give Daniel understanding about THE VISION. What vision? The only one that is not understood is the 2300 "days". Gabriel then goes on to explain the 70 weeks prophecy, which everyone agrees is not 70 literal weeks (490 days), but 490 YEARS. So the 2300 prophetic "days" also HAVE to be YEARS.
And this all falls into line with the DAY FOR A YEAR principle in Bible prophecy.
Another reason why the 70 weeks prophecy has to be part of the 2300, is that without the 70 weeks which Gabriel gives to help Daniel understand the 2300 "days" (years), we would not have a starting point for the 2300 years, which would render that prophecy useless. But with the 70 weeks, we have a starting date.
The Vision
So to get a complete picture of this "vision" and a true understanding of it, let's start in Daniel 8, which is where this 2300 day "vision" begins. Daniel 8:2 ...'And I saw in a vision' ... So Daniel is now in a vision.
(v3) ...'Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns.'
(v5) ...'And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.'
Notice that these two animals are animals that were used in the Old Testament "sanctuary" service. This is another point which shows that the 2300 "days" (years) which deals with the sanctuary are connected to Medo-Persia and Greece, and cannnot be placed in the last days. So just to confirm without doubt the identity of these two animals, let us read what Gabriel says.
Daniel 8:20-21 ...'The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.'
Then in verse 9 we have this little horn that comes out from one of the "four winds of heaven", which basically represents the four directions of the earth. Now what kingdom rose to power after Greece? Pagan Rome! Which later on became Papal Rome, as Pagan Rome handed power over to Papal Rome - the Roman Catholic Church. Let's look at this 'little horn'.
Daniel 8:9-12 ...'And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.'
So this little horn, which rises after Greece 'waxes exceeding great', coming from the West, and conquers lands in the South, the East and also the 'pleasant land', which is Palestine. This refers in the first instance to the Pagan Roman Empire, which ruled also during the first advent of Christ and put Christ on the cross. Hence the term 'magnified himself, even to the prince of the host.'.
Now it is to Pagan Rome that the 'daily' is referred to, and not Papal Rome like our current church leaders and preachers wrongly attribute it to. Our current church leaders wrongly believe 'daily' to be referring to the daily ministration of Christ. But this is wrong. Not only did our church pioneers all agree on the word 'daily' meaning Paganism, take note of what Sister White recorded:
"Then I saw in relation to the 'daily' (Dan. 8:12) that the word 'sacrifice' was supplied by man's wisdom, and does not belong to the text, and that the Lord gave the correct view of it to those who gave the judgment hour cry. When union existed, before 1844, nearly all were united on the correct view of the 'daily'; but in the confusion since 1844, other views have been embraced, and darkness and confusion have followed. Time has not been a test since 1844, and it will never again be a test." (Ellen White, Early Writings, p.74)
There is also another strong evidence that the 'daily' is referring to Paganism, and that Pagan Rome is here referred to, not Papal Rome. The mistake that our leaders make today is in taking the words 'the daily [sacrifice] was taken away' to mean a literal 'taking away', and they have missed the original meaning of those words 'taken away'. In the original Hebrew, 'taken away' actually means 'to lift up' and 'exalt'. Now if the 'daily' was the ministration of Christ in heaven, has Pagan or even Papal Rome ever 'lifted up' and 'exalted' the ministration of Christ? No! Never! So what did Pagan Rome 'lift up' and 'exalt'? PAGANISM! This is the 'daily' that was 'lifted up' and 'exalted' by Pagan Rome.
The 'taking away' of the 'daily' is also mentioned in Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11. But if you look at the original Hebrew for these two 'taken away' verses, they are different to the one in Daniel 8:11 and actually mean to 'remove'. So whereas Daniel 8:11 is talking about the 'daily' (Paganism) being 'lifted up' and 'exalted'. Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11 confirm the 'removing' of the 'daily' (Paganism) to make way for Papal supremacy.
Daniel 12:11 - 'From the time that the daily (Paganism) shall be removed and the abomination of desolation (the Papacy) be in place shall be a thousand, two hundred and ninety 'days'.' By 508AD the kings of Europe had turned from Paganism to Catholicism - 508 + 1290 = 1798 (the year the Papacy received it's 'wound' (Revelation 13:3)
Daniel 12:12 - 'Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh to the thousand three hundred and thirty five 'days'.' Again, going from the 508AD - 508 + 1335 = 1843 (This is the time when great light and truth was unfolding and the three angels messages of Revelation 14 were to begin being proclaimed through the new Advent movement)
To confirm: The ministration of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary has never been 'exalted' by Pagan or Papal Rome. So the 'daily' in Daniel 8:11 cannot be the ministration of Christ. There is only one thing that Pagan and Papal Rome has 'exalted' and that is Paganism! And in the same way, the 'daily' in Daniel 11:31 and 12:11 also cannot be the ministration of Christ. As these 'daily's' were removed to set up the abomination of desolation (the Papacy). Christ's ministration cannot be removed by anyone. So again, what was removed to make way for the Papacy? Paganism!
But what about verse 11 where it says 'the place of the sanctuary was cast down'? Is this not referring to God's sanctuary in heaven? No, the sanctuary here is the Hebrew word 'miqdash', which can mean a sanctuary for IDOLS. And this is exactly what this sanctuary is, the Roman Pantheon. Emperor Constantine left the city of Rome and relocated the capital of his empire to Constantinople in the year 330 AD. As a result of this move the 'place' (the city of Rome) of his 'sanctuary' (the Pantheon) was 'cast down,' and his 'seat' (the city of Rome) was given to Papal Rome.
And before this, what did Constantine do around the year 324? ... "His first act of government was the dispatch of an edict throughout the empire, exhorting his subjects to embrace Christianity." (George Croly, The Apocalypse of St. John: Or Prophecy of the Rise, Progress, and Fall of the Church of Rome; the Revolution of France; the Universal War; and the Final Triumph of Christianity, p.66, 1838). So Paganism was now being removed as we will learn below to set up the 'Papal abomination'.
Now verse 12 expands on this 'casting down' of the Pagan sanctuary. We see that 'a host was given against the 'daily' [Paganism]. So we now have a transition from 'lifting up' and 'exalting' Paganism in verse 11 to being 'against' or replacing Paganism. This is the transition from Pagan Rome to Papal Rome. Think about this. After his efforts through Paganism, to destroy the gospel message, could Satan continue to use Paganism in it's 'raw' form to deceive the people of God? No. So Satan introduces a new power to the world, the Papacy, which was a 'blending' of Paganism with Christianity. This way, Satan could lure the 'church' into worshiping idols with the cloak of Christianity covering them. But the only way this new power - the Papacy - could rule was to overpower Paganism. And this is what happened.
The apostle Paul spoke of this event ...2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 ...'And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.'
Paganism 'taken out of the way' so that 'wicked' - the Papal Church (that MAN OF SIN), could be 'revealed' and gain supremacy.
The 'host' that is given 'against the daily' in Daniel 8:12 is the same as what we see in Daniel 11:31, where 'arms shall stand on his part' ... 'to take away the daily'. The once Pagan kings of Europe gave their allegiance to Catholicism and helped Papal Rome replace Pagan Rome as the new power of the world. In 533AD, Emperor Justinian decreed that the Bishop of Rome was to be 'head of all Christian churches'. Then in 538AD, when the last 'enemy' of Papal Rome, the Ostrogoths, were defeated, Justinian's decree could be fully implemented, and Papal Rome now ruled the world. And thus Satan could truly now 'cast down the truth' through this apostate power, cloaked as a 'Christian Church', and continue to wage war against God, His truth and His people. Which he did for the next 1260 years through the Papacy (Daniel 7:25), until the Papal Church was 'dethroned' in 1798 by the French Army.
So 'the vision concerning the dailyAND the transgression of desolation' in Daniel 8:13 refers to Paganism AND the Papacy. The two 'desolating powers' through which Satan waged war against God, His Son, and His people.
Now in verse 13, Daniel asks for what length of time will the vision be, and the answer in vs.14 is 2300 days, and then 'the sanctuary will be cleansed'. As we learned at the start of this study, the 2300 days HAS to be prophetic 'days', which in fact are 2300 literal years, because this vision spans the time of Medo-Persia, Greece, Pagan and Papal Rome. And we must also note that the Hebrew word for 'sanctuary' here is different from the one used regarding the 'Roman sanctuary' in vs.11. The Hebrew word here for sanctuary is 'qodesh', which means a 'holy place' set apart by God. So this sanctuary must be the real holy sanctuary in heaven where God's throne is. So the 'cleansing' at the end of the 2300 years must be a cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, where Jesus Christ is now our High Priest.
At this point we do not have a starting date for this 2300 years. So we need to continue on into chapter 9, because at the end of Chapter 8, Daniel says that he became sick from the vision and could not understand it. But we will see the angel Gabriel come back in chapter 9 to reveal the all important starting point of the 2300 days (years).
Daniel 9:21-23 ...'Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.'
So we know that whatever Gabriel is about to say, it is connected with the vision of the 2300 days (years) in chapter 8, because at the end of that vision Daniel says that it could not be understood, and there is no other vision that Daniel needs understanding about. So now Gabriel has come to give Daniel understanding.
70 Weeks Prophecy
Daniel 9:24-27 ...'Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.'
Now this is what we needed to understand the 2300 "days" (years). A starting date! There is no other starting date in Daniel for the 2300 years, and as stated above, Gabriel had come to give Daniel understanding about the vision concerning the 2300. So this 70 weeks prophecy HAS to be connected with the 2300. There is no doubt whatsoever that the decree to restore Jerusalem is the starting date. Now if you read the 70 weeks of Daniel study, you will see that the starting date for this decree is 457 B.C. Please prayerfully study Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy, because it is a powerful time prophecy and there is no doubt whatsoever that Daniel's 70 weeks and the 2300 have the same starting date of 457 B.C. when Artaxerxes decreed that the rebuilding of Jerusalem could continue and be completed.
Note: As we confirmed at the start of this study, the vision of the 2300 years prophecy starts with Medo-Persia. And who gave the command to complete the restoration of Jerusalem and it's temple, starting the 70 week prophecy? Artaxerxes, the PERSIAN King! So this matches the start of the 70 weeks and the 2300 years.
Unto 2300 Days
Daniel 8:13 ...'Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, how long shall be the vision concerning the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?'
Daniel 8:14 ...'Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.'
As we have learned above, the 'daily' is referring to Paganism and the 'transgression of desolation' is referring to the Papal Church of Rome, an abominable union of church and state. So the question is asked ...'how long will the vision of Paganism and the Papacy trampling upon God's church and sanctuary/law be?' And the answer is, 2300 years.
Now if you have done the study of the 70 weeks, you will see that Gabriel says in Daniel 9:24 that the 70 weeks, which are connected to the 2300 are "determined" for Israel. And that word determined in the original language means "TO CUT OFF". But to cut off from what? To cut off from the 2300 "days" (years). So the first 490 years of this 2300 year prophecy is specifically for the nation of Israel.
And what does that show? It shows that the 2300 cannot be placed into the end times, because the 70 "weeks" are PART OF the 2300 year time frame. And with the 70 weeks being 490 literal years, the 2300 also has to be years.
The 70 "weeks" start at the command to rebuild Jerusalem, which is 457BC. So the 2300 years HAVE to start at the same point, because there is no other starting point given for the 2300. And Gabriel confirmed that he had come to give Daniel understanding concerning the 2300 day vision. So the 70 weeks HAVE to be part of the 2300 and the starting date HAS to be the same for both. So going 2300 years from 457BC we reach the date of when the sanctuary would be cleansed and when the truth would be restored. And that date is the year 1844.
Note: As we confirmed at the start of this study, the vision of the 2300 years prophecy starts with Medo-Persia. And who gave the command to complete the restoration of Jerusalem and it's temple, starting the 70 week prophecy? Artaxerxes, the PERSIAN King! So this matches the start of the 70 weeks and the 2300 years.
So after 2300 years of suppression by Pagan powers (the daily) and the Papacy (transgression of desolation). God was to do something. He was going to lift the oppression of Paganism and the Papacy and restore the truth to His remnant people. He was also, as the scripture says, going to 'cleanse the heavenly sanctuary'.
At the start of the 19th century a man called William Miller (a baptist) came to the truth about the 2300 day prophecy, that it would come to an end in 1844. Now because the word "sanctuary" in this prophecy was widely accepted as meaning the earth, William Miller believed that the "cleansing of the sanctuary" meant the earth would be cleansed, meaning Christ would return then. So he started preaching this and many people came out of the different denominations to join this new "advent movement", expecting Christ to return in 1844.
When Christ didn't return in 1844 the believers went through a bitter disappointment, and although many left that movement, a "remnant" remained to re-study that prophecy, because they knew that they had the right year, 1844. After careful study of the prophecy and Hebrews 8 and 9, they realized that the sanctuary wasn't the earth, but rather the ORIGINAL sanctuary in heaven where Christ intercedes for us, upon which the earthly Old Testament sanctuary was a copy.
These believers then came to the truth that Jesus had moved into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary to begin judging the world, which Daniel 7:13 confirms. Just as the earthly high priest would move into the most holy place on the day of atonement to "cleanse" the earthly sanctuary of the people's sins, Christ moved into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary to begin cleansing it and to begin judgment. Hence the phrase "until two thousand three hundred days, then the sanctuary shall be cleansed." (you can read in Hebrews 8 and 9 about Christ's role as our High Priest).
Now because of this wrong application of the event in 1844, thinking that Christ would return. Many Christians today say that it shows the advent movement was a false one and not of God. Well, what they don't realise is that this event was actually prophesied to happen to God's people.
Revelation 10:1-11 ...'And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven ... And he had in his hand a little book open ... and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel ... And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.'
What "little book" could this be referring to? Well, there was only one that had been "closed and William Millersealed", and that was the prophecy of Daniel. Specifically, the 2300 day vision (Daniel 8:26). And during the time of William Miller, this prophecy was "opened". And what happened when William Miller and his followers "ate" this prophecy? It was sweet in their mouths (coming of Christ in 1844), but bitter in their belly (Christ didn't return). Then they were to discover the truth and take that truth to the world through the new advent movement that was formed ("prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.")
Now when this group of Advent believers in 1844 came to the truth about the time of judgment beginning, they saw within the most holy place in heaven, the ark of God's covenant ... Revelation 11:19 ...'And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.' ... And what is inside God's ark of His testament (covenant)? The ten commandments!
Many lost truths at the hands of the Roman Catholic Church had been restored during the Protestant reformation, but now the truth of the ten commandments, God's great moral law of love, INCLUDING the sabbath day truth, the three angels messages and many other truths had finally been restored and revealed. And God now had an end time church with the FULL truth of the "everlasting gospel" which could now be proclaimed to the world before Jesus returns at the second coming. This "Advent" movement in 1863 became known as the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The 'midnight cry' has been sounded. Jesus has gone into the 'wedding' to receive His kingdom. And the world is now being judged to see who is 'worthy' to be His guests. We MUST follow Christ, by faith, into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, where we can receive of Christ's righteousness and have the right clothing. Are we the 'wise' or 'foolish' virgins?
Now if you are faithful to the truth of God's Word and you study the 70 weeks of Daniel along with this study of the 2300 day vision, then there is ONLY ONE date that you can come to, and that is the date of 1844. And what began during this time? The Adventist movement. Which after the great disappointment of not seeing Christ return, came to the truth that Christ had entered into the most holy place to begin judgment, and that the law of God, the ten commandments (including the sabbath commandment) was still binding upon everyone. This shows the Adventist movement to be ordained of God!
Revelation 14:7 ...'Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment is come, and worship Him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of the waters.'
Daniel 7:9,10,13 ...'I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.'
This is the great scene of Christ Jesus moving into the most holy place in the heavenly sanctuary, to begin judgment, and the faithful few Seventh-day Adventists who are left (not the General Conference led church, which has fallen into apostasy) are the only one's preaching this end time truth. God now has His end time remnant church to proclaim the three angels message and the everlasting gospel to the world. Are you part of God's remnant church? Christ is pleading for us in the judgment. Are you giving your all for Him today? Come out of Babylon, and come to the foot of the cross now and give your all for Jesus!

My Bible says the Mark, will be physical. I'm not going to say anything, because, I'm pretty sure it's PreTrib, we are leaving, but, even Christ said nobody knows, but The Father.
Not going to try changing minds, because we all have the right to choose. However, I believe:
1: Christians at the day God chooses, will be taken from the world.
2Jesus died and rose again, so we could have eternal life.
3There will be a 'Visible Mark," And I think those with disabilities, and that are normal all of us, will be ordered to display this Mark.
4 I would rather die, than take that mark.
5 The rest of my life will be an attempt to show my gratitude!
6 I'm not going to be all sniidy about it, because, I'm no better than anyone. Probably not much to show for, in life. That don't mean I'm giving up.

I'm not terribly concerned about any of this. It was an interesting article with some interesting theories. But in the end, like so many things, they are just that, theories. So many churches, so many different perspectives on the same issues. heck, so many perspectives on Christ in general. Christ, the almighty smiting dictator? Christ the healer and brother or father of mankind. Christ the man and nothing more. What it's going to come down to, whatever brand of Christian you are, is your faith in Christ and willingness to abide by his teachings. I doubt he's going to care whether you follow the Sabboth on Saturday as the Jews, or Sunday as the Christians. Be kind to yourself and one another, and trust in Christ and you won't really have much to worry about as far as judgement. None of us is going to be found spotless at the last day. That's what jesus is for, to be our mediator on the great day of judgement. It's the whole reason he volunteered to atone in Gethsemane and allowed himself to be lifted up on the cross. I honestly believe judgement will come down to how we lived and what we did for others rather than how many steps we took on a given day, or whether we red our scriptures every single day. Christ and the father are, according to my own church, loving, compassionate and know our hearts and minds far more than we realize. That's my 11 year Christian perspective, and it's why *I'm not going to stress about the mark, be it physical or spiritual. (Though the spiritual mark idea does make a lot of sense and is a perspective I'd never considered.)

I think of it as akin to the story "the Boy who Cried Wolf". So many "prophecies" drafted up by people that by the time the big finale is upon us, nobody will believe it's really happening. Unless it's truly monumental.
That is what makes all these so-called new-prophets unnerving. If this topic's creator reads the New Testament correctly, Jesus says that we won't know the "HOUR OR DAY," that He is coming back.
As to it being physical or not, this Mark_Of_The_Beast, it will be physical. I admit I don't remember that chapter an verse, but you will have this Mark, on your right hand, or your forehead. I stick to my guns, on that.
And, just a contemplation I've been thinking:
You notice when Israel was comfy, they turned from their God, and worshiped animals, or idols? I'm not saying God is mean, just that being Mr. Nice God, didn't succeed in making people believe?
I think it it's that way, even now I notice you can't pray at school, but you can sell naked models, where kids can see them. A friend said to me the other day: "... What's evil is now good. And what was good, is now evil."
It's like where I live. You can drop all the "F-bombs/words," you want. But these messed up peeps don't even want to know about God. They just want their crank, pills, and to be left alone. I guess, I'm seeing the worst of people here where I live, and it makes me sad.
I'm not saying you have to believe what I say, but just voicing another opinion. I am strongly opinionated. These days, you have to be. If not, they lock you in a routine, or a home for the disabled, where you get everything done for you. At least, that's my personal situation. I just can't be in the cool crowd, and live like nothing's wrong. However, I can't just listen while someone says that the Mark is just in a spiritual form.
As far as the false prophets, we were warned of them. Jesus said that people would say He was coming here, there, or wherever. Me and some high school pals would pretend to wait, when someone said Jesus was coming.
One time, it was going to be at 07-52; A.M. Three or four of us got together, and mock-waited. We sat and some stood, talking and laughing.
Maybe, I've grown up, since then. I don't think it's funny, anymore. Too many fakes are out their now. At least, once a year, someone says: "I know when Christ is coming back!"
I know when Jesus is coming. He's coming back, when God The Father says so. Anyone who gives me a time and date is full of beans.
